Critical Fashion Practitioner

I am an Italian fashion writer and researcher based in Arnhem (NL), currently completing my Master’s in Critical Fashion Practices at ArtEZ University of the Arts.

My practice moves between cultural commentary, critical fashion studies, and it is fueled by a deep curiosity about how fashion shapes our relationship with beauty, our own bodies, and the bodies of others.

I believe research does not flourish behind closed doors. That is why I like to share the messy in-betweens that eventually become neatly named documents. These in-progress pieces trace my thinking over time, revealing how ideas shift and evolve as I write. Here, you are invited to witness the becoming.

Reading is the anchor of my practice. It allows me to think in chorus with others, across time and space. Here, I maintain a living reading list of texts and other sources I return to again and again, as well as those I am still digesting. Consider it a shared bookshelf where you can take a book with you, leave one, or simply browse.

Lastly, some cold facts. Alongside my research and writing practice, I have gained experience as an editorial research assistant and a teaching assistant in fashion theory. I am currently a writer and editor at Raffia Magazine and the co-publisher of MODE Journal, an upcoming self-published project founded by Sarah Kehr and me. Holding a Bachelor of Honours in Fashion Business and currently completing my Master’s in Critical Fashion Practices, I draw on these experiences as the practical backbone of my practice, shaping the ideas I explore in both polished and in-progress work.
